Working as a freelance Sales Development Representative (SDR) and Virtual Assistant means juggling multiple clients, different time zones, and a variety of tech stacks every single day. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how I structure my day to stay productive and deliver results.
Because my clients are distributed across the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia, I wake up to a full inbox. The first hour of my day is dedicated to triage. I check Slack messages, respond to urgent emails, and review the performance metrics of any outbound email campaigns that ran overnight. If an email sequence hit a snag, I fix it now.
This is my most focused block of time. I put on my headphones, open up Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and start building lists. Whether I'm finding SaaS founders in London or clinic managers in Texas, this requires extreme attention to detail to ensure the ICP criteria are met.
In the afternoon, I switch gears from data creation to data management. I jump into HubSpot or Salesforce for my retainer clients. I clean up messy records, deduplicate contacts, and ensure the sales pipeline is organized for the Account Executives. I also spend time updating operational dashboards for clients like FareVet, ensuring their internal reporting is accurate and up-to-date.
Before logging off, I send daily wrap-up reports to my clients. Clear communication is the key to successful freelancing. I deliver any completed lead lists (fully verified via NeverBounce, of course), outline what I achieved today, and set the agenda for tomorrow.
