Client Success: What Made This Lead Generation Project Work

August 19, 2026

Getting a 5-star review on Upwork is always rewarding, but what really matters is the process that leads to that feedback. Recently, I completed a complex lead generation project for a US-based SaaS company. Here is a breakdown of what made this project successful.

The Challenge

The client needed 500 highly targeted leads in the logistics software space. The challenge was that their Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) was extremely narrow: they only wanted Directors of Operations at companies with 50-200 employees, specifically using a legacy competitor's software.

My Approach

Instead of just scraping a generic database, I used a multi-layered approach:

  • Technographics: I used Apollo.io to filter companies based on the specific legacy software they were using.
  • LinkedIn Verification: I manually cross-referenced decision-makers on LinkedIn Sales Navigator to ensure they still held the "Director of Operations" title.
  • Rigorous Validation: Every single email address was passed through NeverBounce. I delivered a list with a 0% bounce rate expectation.

The Feedback

The client left this feedback: "Taha delivered exactly what we needed. The list was incredibly accurate, and our first outreach campaign had a 40% open rate and zero bounces. Highly recommended."

The takeaway? Deep research always wins over bulk scraping. If you need a highly targeted B2B lead list, focus on accuracy first.
